Who we are
Here at media4schools, we believe that young people should be given a voice within society. That’s why we work with schools to give pupils the opportunity to make films about issues that are important to them.
A vocational learning-based media training initiative, media4schools introduces a combination of film and enterprise for both primary and secondary schools.
All films made by schools independently or with the support of media4schools can be entered into our annual Awards ceremony. This is a prestigious event celebrating the success of young film-makers across the country.

What we do
We work with a range of schools across Wales and England to introduce them to digital media and to develop their media and communication skills. The aim is to give pupils and teachers the necessary skills in film-making to create a sustainable media production platform for the future.
Offering a range of training opportunities to teachers and pupils, we can equip you with the necessary skills to produce great films on topics that matter to you. Training can include camera and production techniques, script writing, filming on location, interviewing techniques, editing and animation.
The media4schools model can also fit in with the school curriculum across a range of subjects. If you are a teacher wanting to find out more, visit our education page.
